Acne retin and benzaclin treatment, very dry skin, help?

My dermatologist put me on a regimen with tretinoin (retin a) at night before bed and benzaclin in the morning. I have been on this regimen for about two weeks now, no major improvements, a bit better and actually breaking out worse in some spots, and VERY DRY, RED and FLAKY ... questions: (1) Can I put moisturiser after tretinoin at night? and if so how long after should i wait to apply the moisturiser? (2) The Benzaclin I know I can use the moisturiser and then make up, but how long should i wait to apply the moisturiser and make up after the medication? (3) Has anyone been in this same medication regimen? worked for anyone? and in how long? ... the dryness and falkiness is really bad. Thanks for your feedback!
