Is it okay to use Vick's Vaposteam for my 4 month old?

My 4 month old has a bad cough, gagging up phlegm, and sinus congestion. My doc says nothing you can do, just wait it out. I was thinking about using a Vicks Vaporizer and the Vaposteam oil that can go in it... Has anyone tried this? Is it safe?
