What is the likelihood of getting a loan from a bank...?

if i have bad or no credit. Im trying to get a loan for about 6 - 7 thousand dollars to pay off some bills, particularly a car bill and student loan. The bills are under my parents names so I cant go into a bank and ask for things to be consolidated so I was just going to ask for a personal loan. Im currently with Wachovia and i have a steady job that I have been at for over a year. The only defaults I have are maybe 2 or 3 overdrafts from my account in the last 2 years.
