Do you think anti-Americanism is rising to a level of hatred for Jews in Europe in 1930s?

The intersting thing about antiAmericanism is--and probably any other prejudice--the stereotypes attributed to Americans actually fit more with Europe than the US. I lived in Europe for 3 years and was expecting to find the stereotypical europeans: educated, tolerant. Instead, I found a people who are more undereducated and more easily influenced by their media and government than we are. I never really knew what white trash was until I went to rural England and France! Yet, under all this there are many people who are embarred by antiAmericanism and will go out of their way to apologize for it.
